Buying property in Bali as a foreigner can be complex because Indonesian law does not allow foreigners to directly own freehold (Hak Milik) property. There are legal structures you can use to invest safely: you can buy your property using your company PT. PMA (Penanam Modal Asing) which means Foreign Investment Company in Indonesia. It’s the only legal structure that lets foreigners fully control a business and own certain property rights.
